The Introduction of the International Union for Science and Technology Communication
The International Union for Science and Technology Communication(IUSTC) is the first platform with the mission of?“international dissemination for science and technology”?initiated by Science and Technology Daily in 2018.?
Its establishment aims at improving the efficiency of sci-tech information dissemination, promoting global sci-tech communication and cooperation, and severing as an unified platform for the global release and exchange of the latest sci-tech news. In addition, the IUSTC members will also use their media responsibility to promote international cooperation in the field of science, technology and innovation.
Up until now, 12 worldwide member units have joined the union,covering the mainstream media, science and technology think tanks and international organizations in the US, UK, Japan and some?“Belt and Road”countries such as Russia, Israel, South Korea, South Africa, Ukraine and Laos, etc. Specifically, it includes Sputnik, PRNewswire,?Clarivate Analytics, Japan Science and Technology Agency,JoongAng Ilbo, Uryadovy Kuryer,?South Africa Agency for Science and Technology Advancement,Vientiane Times, and International Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology,?OCTA Innovations?and?the Russian House of International Scientific and Technical Cooperation Association (RH ISTC Association)?etc.
The daily working mechanism of the?union is as follows:
1.?The?internationalized dissemination of manuscript:?exchanging?the?manuscripts (mainly in Chinese and English)?online?every week.
2.?The sci-tech innovation communication projects: Carrying out some offline events such as joint interviews, forums and exhibitions with foreign member units.
In the future,under the premise of all IUSTC members should fully respect to each others’?editing independence, the IUSTC will sincerely keep inviting world well-know news media, think tanks and organizations to join the union.
“國際科技傳播聯(lián)盟”（IUSTC，以下簡(jiǎn)稱聯(lián)盟）是由科技日?qǐng)?bào)社于2018年率先發(fā)起的首家以“科技國際化傳播”為使命的平臺(tái)。其成立的目的旨在提升媒體科技資訊傳播效率，推動(dòng)全球科技創(chuàng)新交流與合作，構(gòu)建全球最新科技資訊的交流與發(fā)布平臺(tái)，為促進(jìn)國際科技創(chuàng)新合作貢獻(xiàn)媒體應(yīng)盡的責(zé)任。
目前，聯(lián)盟有12家會(huì)員單位，包括俄羅斯衛(wèi)星通訊社，美國美通社，科睿唯安，日本科技振興機(jī)構(gòu)，韓國《中央日?qǐng)?bào)》、烏克蘭《政府信使報(bào)》、南非科學(xué)技術(shù)促進(jìn)局、老撾《萬象時(shí)報(bào)》，國際遺傳工程與生物中心，牛津-八分量數(shù)字經(jīng)濟(jì)實(shí)驗(yàn)室以及俄羅斯之家國際科技合作協(xié)會(huì)等國際主流媒體、科技智庫和國際組織，覆蓋美國、英國、日本，和俄羅斯、以色列、韓國、南非、烏克蘭、老撾等“一帶一路”沿線國家。
聯(lián)盟日常工作機(jī)制在于：一是“稿件國際化傳播”，每周開展線上稿件互換（以中、英文稿件為主）；二是“科技創(chuàng)新交流項(xiàng)目”，與外媒會(huì)員開展包括聯(lián)合采訪、參辦論壇和會(huì)議等線下活動(dòng)。
聯(lián)盟在充分尊重各會(huì)員單位新聞采編和資訊發(fā)布獨(dú)立性的前提下，誠邀全球知名科技新聞機(jī)構(gòu)、科技智庫加入。
